About Us
Greenville native David Evette has been in the business world for the past 30 years, overseeing human resources and payroll outsourcing operations in South Carolina’s Upstate.
In late 2021, he and his son Jackson decided to launch Evette Embroidery – a more colorful outlet for their energy – as a way to spend more time together and introduce Jackson to the world of work.
Having collaborated on promotional items many times over the course of his career, David was drawn to the more prestigious look embroidered items offered.
Jackson, 15, is a freshman at St. Joseph’s Catholic School, where he plays football and lacrosse. When he was young, Jackson’s grandmother encouraged his artistic side, and today he has developed a knack for creating logos. He said the discipline it takes to do well in sports has already helped him with the burgeoning father-son business.
Jackson started out by trying his hand at adding embroidery to backpacks and other items for his friends at St. Joseph’s. By the time Evette Embroidery began receiving Christmas orders last year, he was a natural.
David and his wife, Pamela, have two other children – Amanda and Joey – and two dogs, Mylo and Flynn.
